Our magnet table and our Potato Heads were both a big hit at morning work today.

We loved our time outside!  Because we went outside early, it wasn't too hot.

When we came back inside we had music with Miss Jenna.  We sang and danced and played maracas--we even got to bang on a drum!

After Miss Jenna packed up, we said our blessing and had our snack.  Then we started centers.  At our rug center we played with the car garage and the Little People House again.  At Miss Paula's center we played with geoboards.  These were really cool!  We stretched rubber bands over pegboards to make all kinds of neat shapes and pictures.  We also talked about the different sizes and colors of the rubber bands.

At Miss Kathleen's center we started out at the table looking at models of a monarch egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, and butterfly. Then we went outside to see a chrysalis near our classroom window that's almost ready to open.  We also found two more monarch caterpillars on the milkweed!  We already have four in a butterfly house in our classroom so we left these outside to eat and grow.
