Bike Day

We rode our bikes and trikes and scooters, ate some popsicles that turned our tongues colors, had fun centers, and ate a special snack!  What a great day!

Monday, March 27

It was good to be back at school!  We started out with some new things to do at Morning Work.

After spending some time on the playground, we came in for centers.  At Miss Paula's center we worked on our April calendars.  At Miss Kathleen's center we learned about bike/trike safety so we'd be all ready for Bike Day on Wendesday.  At the rug center we had ALL of our Little People out.  There was a lot of stuff to play with!

Monday, March 13

We found leprechaun gold on the playground today!  We wanted to show our treasures to everyone once we came back inside!

We had a lot of fun at centers, too.  We showed some great teamwork--especially when we put together the big floor puzzle.

Then it was time for Spanish with Senora Emily.  We sang a song to help us remember the Spanish names of different body parts.

Wednesday, March 8

We enjoyed some new and interesting manipulatives at Morning Work.  We also got to do some building with our wooden blocks.  We're now working with curved blocks, squares, triangles and rectangles.  We really have to use our brains when it's time to clean up and put all of them in the right containers!

When we went out to the playground we were surprised to see leprechaun footprints!  We think the leprechaun came inside and went up in the light fixture with our classroom lizard!

At Miss Paula's center we worked on our geoboards.  In addition to working our fingers, we practiced making patterns and shapes. At Miss Kathleen's center, we worked with our magnet board while Miss Kathleen asked us some questions about letters.  Miss Jen let us borrow the magnatiles from her class and we had a lot of fun using those.  At the rug center we had another day of our horses and wooden blocks.  We're having a lot of fun creating and playacting!

Monday, March 6

We always enjoy seeing the new bulletin board in the hall by the restrooms!

At Miss Kathleen's center we worked with popbeads while she asked us some questions about letters.  At Miss Paula's center we practiced our fine motor skills while tracing and rubbing shamrock pictures.  While we waited for our friends to finish their centers we played in our St. Patrick's Day sensory bin.  At the rug center we had our horses and wooden blocks.  We added blocks that had curved lines to our set today.  Now we have our boards, rectangle blocks, and triangle blocks for building.

After we cleaned up our centers, we had music with Senora Emily then sang "Happy Birthday" to our friend.  We got to have birthday cupcakes as our sweet snack today!
