Wednesday, September 28

One of the new things at Morning Work is SCISSORS!  We'll be working on our grip and improving our cutting skills.  We also had some old favorites to work with.

At Miss Kathleen's center we worked our finger muscles by picking up pompom apples with tweezers.  We also had our pictures taken for our October placemats.  At Miss Paula's center we made some beautiful glitter candy corn for our placemats.  We had another day of building with our giant blocks and putting on plays with our finger puppets at the rug center

We cleaned up our centers and went outside to get our pictures taken!  We did a really good job smiling.  Then we went out on the playground.  It was really neat because there were some different friends out there.  Some of us even got to see our brothers and sisters!

Monday, September 26

It started to rain just as we were ready to go outside, so we took a few minutes to feel the raindrops before going back inside to start centers.

At Miss Paula's center we worked on our October calendar.  Look for these in our backpacks on Wednesday!  At Miss Kathleen's center we sorted bears into cups and piles.  At the rug center, we had finger puppets for dramatic play and giant blocks for building.

After we cleaned up our centers we had Spanish with Senora Emily!

Monday, September 19

We had a teamwork accomplishment this morning.  During Morning Work a group of us put together the LONG alphabet train puzzle!

We went out on the playground and had a great time--even though it was a little bit hot!

At centers today, Miss Paula helped us make Gingerbread Man dot pictures.  We took our time and tried to get our dots just right.  We also worked at sharing our dot markers.  At Miss Kathleen's center we played in our sensory bin garden while she asked us some questions about our colors and shapes.  At our rug center we had another day of building with big LEGOS and dramatic play with baby dolls.

Senora Emily came in and did Spanish with us.  We worked on our colors, counting to ten on our dedos (fingers) and singing our name song (Todos Cantan) using rhythm sticks.  It was fun!
