Monday, October 29

A lot of us were bundled up today--so it took us a little longer to get ready to go anywhere!  As we have more cold days we'll get better at putting our jackets on and taking them off.

At centers today, we had some new dramatic play/manipulative toys at our rug center.  We had a pirate ship with pirate fingerpuppets and a lego set that included a boat builder.  There was a lot of excitement!  We made our November placemats at Mrs. Hennessy's center.  They really ended up looking good!  We worked our fine motor skills at Miss Kathleen's center by doing lots of lacing!

After we finished our centers we went out to the playground to spend some time with our friends.

Friday, October 26

We had a silly, mixed-up day today!  First we walked over to Fellowship Hall, where the church has a great fall display, to get our pictures taken for our November placemats.  Since we were already outside and over by the playground, we decided to have our outside time right away!

After we came inside, we washed up and had snack, then we started our centers.  It was the last day for us to play with our garage/cars at our rug center--and we all had fun with it!  We made our November calendars with Mrs. Hennessy--they won't come home until Monday because we used a lot of glue to make sure our feathers stuck to our turkeys!  At Miss Kathleen's center we painted pumpkins using really big brushes--and we made spider headbands!

As you peek in backpacks this weekend, you'll find our stenciled jack-o-lanterns and an invitation to one of our friend's birthday parties.  Those of you who ordered books from this month's book order should also find those in your child's backpack.  Have a wonderful weekend!
