Happy Halloween!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our day so much fun!  

Miss Lisa's 2s came by to show off their costumes.  We thought they looked really good!

We walked over to Summer Breeze to visit our friends there.  We trick-or-treated then sang our Halloween songs for them.

 

 

We came back to our classroom, sang our songs for our guests, then had a wonderful Halloween party!

Wednesday, October 29

Even though our field trip was postponed, we had a great day!

At centers today we had one more day of Littlest Pet Shop and blocks. (We'll have blocks again next week, but we'll add some different shapes.)

At Miss Paula's center we played Halloween BINGO.  We covered up our whole card today so we really had to listen carefully and pay attention.

 

At Miss Kathleen's center we added ghosts to our trick-or-treat bags. (We had to catch some of them that tried to fly away!)  When we finished we made jack-o-lantern faces and worked on a glow-in-the-dark puzzle.

After we cleaned up our centers, it was pumpkin time!  We helped Miss Kathleen empty the insides of our pumpkin (Well, some of us did--others didn't want to touch it!) so that we could turn it into a jack-o-lantern!

 

Monday, October 26

We had plain old scrap paper at our coloring and cutting table today--and we loved it!  We drew and colored and cut.  Then we went over to our manipulatives table and UNIFIX cubes on the rug!  After we cleaned up our Morning Work, we had Spanish with Senora Hillary.  Today we learned some color words (rojo-red, azul-blue, amarillo-yellow, and verde-green) and we sang Head and Shoulders, Knees, and Toes in Spanish!  Our favorite word was cabeza for our head!

We were glad that the rain held off because we got to play outside for a little bit before centers.  We came in and made our November placemats with Miss Paula, practiced our fine motor skills making bead necklaces with Miss Kathleen, and built with our wooden blocks and played with the Littlest Pet Shop on the rug.  It was a fun day!
