What a silly day we had today!  First we went over to the Sanctuary to practice for our Mother's Day program.  We are doing such a good job on our songs!  We went right out to the playground when we finished and had lots of fun. When we came inside, we had snack right away!  The day just kept getting sillier!

The last thing we did was centers.  At the rug center we had our wooden blocks and our kid blocks.  At Miss Paula's center we made cookies and laced shapes.  At Miss Kathleen's center we worked our fingers with Pop-It beads and played in our spring sensory bin.

Friday, April 24

We started our day off by visiting Sparkles, Mrs. Schwalbe's chicken.  Some of us were even brave enough to pet her!  After we washed our hands, we headed outside for some playground time.  On the way back to the classroom we took a little walk and looked and listened for a big turtle that was in the garden yesterday.  We didn't get to see him today though.

At our rug center today we continued to play restaurant.  We're having a lot of fun with that center! At Miss Paula's center we made our May calendars.  These will come home in our backpacks on Monday.  At Miss Kathleen's center we finished our butterflies from Monday and we worked on our names--and got to bring some of our name papers home with us!

Wednesday, April 22

It was a beautiful day outside today.  Miss Kathleen was taking our pictures for our May placemats--and we were having fun being silly!

One of the new games some of us have been playing is Rapunzel.  We sit at the top of the slide and let down our hair!  (Sometimes we slide down too!)

We've also been playing restaurant outside as well as at our rug center.  Here we are taking Miss Paula's order!

At our centers today we read a magazine with Miss Paula, then we played in our spring sensory bin,  At Miss Kathleen's center we continued working on one of our Mother's Day surprises and we did some weaving with different materials. At the rug center, we continued to run our restaurant.  That's a lot of fun!

Monday, April 20

We had some music on during Morning Work today and it inspired some dancing!  We were listening to Fandagumbo by Julie Austin.  We especially like the Fandagumbo song--and Skunk Lullaby!

After Morning Work we went outside to enjoy the beautiful weather.  It was perfect for playing on the firetruck, examining bugs, and just hanging out with friends.

When we got back inside it was time for centers.  At Miss Kathleen's center we worked on another present for out mommies, then we built with Lincoln Logs and made mosaic pictures.  At our rug center we played restaurant.  We had a lot of fun there.  At Miss Paula's center we started our May placemats, then worked on a mystery Frozen puzzle. (Miss Kathleen forgot her camera today so she had to use her phone--and missed out on pictures at Miss Paula's center completely!)

Friday, April 17

At Miss Kathleen's center, we worked on a present for our mommies, painted butterflies with our fingers, and put together a giant puzzle of a monarch butterfly. At the rug center we had our last day of playing with the Little People.  We can't wait to see what our next rug center will be.  At Miss Paula's center some of us played Candyland while others colored our David and Goliath pictures--the we switched!

Wednesday, April 15

We finished our April showers/May flowers pictures today at Miss Kathleen's center.  We've gotten really good at using the glue pots to glue things together.  We were also excited about the glitter that was left on the table once we finished our pictures!  While we waited for our friends, we worked on a giant puzzle of a monarch butterfly.

At Miss Paula's center we worked with all kinds of beads.  Some of us stacked bead patterns on sticks, some of us strung shaped beads onto laces, and others used letter beads to make ABC strings.

At our rug center we had another day of playing with our Little People and vehicles.  We had a lot of fun at this center!
