We had some new manipulatives out for Morning Work today.  We still did our coloring and cutting, though!  Some of us also did some building and book reading on the rug.

After we cleaned up Morning Work, our friends from the other classes came in for music with Miss Jenna.  We did a great job singing, dancing, shaking our bells, and following directions.  We love music!

After a quick bathroom break we started our centers.  At our rug enter we were excited to play with our fire engine station.  The firefighters are coming to visit us next week and we'll learn a little bit about fire safety beforehand.  At Miss Paula's center we tore up orange paper strips and then glued them onto pumpkins.  This really worked our finger and hand muscles! At Miss Kathleen's center we made jack-o-lanterns out of felt apples and practiced sorting with our color sensory bin.

To finish up our day we celebrated a double birthday.  We sang Happy Birthday to our friends and then had a delicious sweet snack--sprinkled doughnuts!
