Miss Kathleen's 3s: Monday, September 28

Mondays are such busy days! Today during Morning Work, we colored a Three Little Pigs picture (and practiced retelling the story!); worked with some new manipulatives; built with our ladders on the rug; put together a Brown Bear, Brown Bear puzzle; and chose some books from our new book box of Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes (Ff).

Then it was time for Spanish with Senora Hillary! We practiced some of our Spanish words and phrases like buenos dias, sombrero, hola, and adios. We also sang a song (to the tune of Frere Jacques) and waved hello and goodbye!

We went out onto the playground and had a great time running around! When Miss Kathleen took a picture of some of us on the fire truck; more of us came to get into the picture; then more of us; and more of us; then everybody was on the firetruck!

We came back inside and got started on our centers right away. At Miss Kathleen's center, we played in the fall sensory bin while she asked us some questions about our colors and shapes. At our rug center we had a great time with our hand puppets and castle building blocks. At Miss Paula's center we did a lot of talking about colors ans sizes while creating patterns with our building bears.
