We've had unifix cubes on the rug this week during Morning Work and in addition to building ( and working our hand/finger muscles) we've also talked about size words. What's the difference between long and tall? Which is bigger? Which is shorter? Then we had to take pictures before we cleaned up!
We had some wonderful warm weather outside on the playground! We played hide-and-go-seek, worked at our "restaurant", waved at the helicopters flying overhead, ran around as fast as we could, and played on the equipment! We were ready to come inside where it was cool and start centers!
At our rug center, we had another day of baby dolls and Jake and the Neverland Pirates LEGOS. At Miss Kathleen's center we cut out some flower pictures then used tape to attach them to our paper. Using tape was a new experience for some of us! At Miss Paula's center we made our playdoh smell like gingerbread and then rolled and shaped it. We also brought a little bit home to share!
We had a special snack today for a friend's birthday! We sang Happy Birthday then sat down to eat pretzels and Ninja Turtle cookies! It was SO much fun!
