We had our first Spanish lesson with Senora Hillary today. We sang a Buenos Dias song, learned that a hat is a sombrero, practiced learning our names with a Spanish song, and then said adios! Look for a paper from Senora Hillary in our backpacks with some more details!
After Spanish we went out onto the playground. It was nice and cool today! When we were coming back inside we saw Mr. Lizard looking at our apples that we painted last week. We were really quiet so we didn't scare him away!
At Miss Kathleen's center today we learned to play the Maisy Mouse game and worked on a big kids' puzzle. It had 24 pieces! At Miss Paula's center we used geoboards for the first time. Not only did we work our finger muscles by stretching rubberbands over the pegs, but we also talked about about colors and shapes and used direction words! At our rug center we had our last day of Jake and the Neverland Pirates' LEGOS. We'll keep our baby dolls and our house at the rug center for another day or two because we're having SO much fun with them!
