We had another day of playing with horses and big cardboard brick blocks at our rug center. Miss Kathleen didn't get a picture of the cool fence that one group built for their horses to jump over. Another group had a series of connected stables and fields for their horses to play in.
At Miss Paula's center we worked on our placemats for February. We also played in our new Valentine sensory bin. There were hearts, sparkles, red rice and cool boxes for us to explore.
At Miss Kathleen's center we did a Valentine craft while working on our fine motor skills. We had to pick up little squares of tissue paper and put them on our sticky hearts one by one. They turned out beautiful! Miss Kathleen is going to put them up on our window at school so we can look at them all week.
We also sang along and danced to some Valentine music today. Our favorites were Valentine by Groovy Ruby and Witchdoctor by the old original Chipmunks. These are both available for mp3 download from Amazon.
