We made suncatcher pumpkins at Mrs. Hennessy's center today! First we had to use our finger muscles to tear our tissue paper into tiny squares, then we had to carefully cover all of the contact paper in our pumpkin cut-outs. We did a great job!
At our rug center, we played with our fire station for the last day of this cycle. Next week we'll have a new dramatic play toy at this center. We also had our Crystal Climber builders at our light box and light table. In addition to building, some of us tried combining the see-through colored blocks to make new colors.
At Miss Kathleen's center we counted apples! Well, they were really red, green, and yellow pompoms, but we pretended they were apples. We used our tweezers and chopsticks to pick them up and put them on the apple trees. Some of us made patterns and some of us even practiced pointing/counting to six! We were surprised when we saw that we had apples for our healthy snack today--and we were glad that they were real apples and not pompoms!
