We were ready to come in from carpool and warm up while doing our morning work!  Some of us spent time at the manipulative table, using our ladders and pegs.  Some of us worked at the puzzle table, even putting together our latest 24 piece puzzle!  Some of us liked the gingerbread pictures and the quilt pattern coloring sheets at the crayon table.  We all liked being in our nice warm classroom!

After doing our calendar, saying the Pledge of Allegiance, and singing "Salute the Flag", we looked at the new crate of books for our room.  All of the books in this crate are song books like "Wheels on the Bus" and "Old McDonald" and they're all marked with an  S  for song and some musical notes.  We've gotten so good at putting our books back in the right crates!

We took a quick bathroom break and then came back to the room for centers.   We had housekeeping today for our dramatic play center.  We especially liked the telephones and guitars that we used for the first time!

We cut and pasted little pieces of construction paper onto snowflake shapes with Mrs. Hennessey.  It was hard work cutting all of those pieces, figuring out where to fit them in, and then gluing them on.  We got some help with the cutting from Mrs. Hennessey, but we're going to have to work on this again on Wednesday to get finished.

We used watercolors to paint on easels in Miss Kathleen's center.  It was a little bit messy, but a lot of fun!  We're going to try painting with tempera paint on the easels on Wednesday.
