Guess what we found out on the playground today? Leprechaun footprints! We searched all over but didn't find any leprechauns. We thought we might have heard one laughing from over in the bushes by the parking lot though.
When we came inside, we got ready for centers. At Miss Kathleen's center we made lots of cool creations with ELLOS. At Miss Paula's center we used our geoboards. We made letters and shapes and created patterns with our rubberbands. (This center really showed how much the kids have matured this year. At the beginning of the year it was mostly about playing with the rubberbands and working finger muscles. Today they wanted to show off what they knew!) At our rug center, the kitchen was a big hit again today. We had a lot of chefs at our restaurant, but we had a hard time finding customers!
When we finish our snack each day, we put our old books back in the crates and choose a new book. Some days we sit and read with our friends while we wait for everyone to finish. Today we also got to use the magnifying glass to look at a bug that one of our friends brought in to share. It was a little bit scary looking, but we were brave!
