After everyone had a little time to play on the rug ,work with manipulatives at our table, or color a picture (or two or three!) we took a bathroom break and washed our hands.
Then we came back to our tables, said our blessing, and had our snack of pretzels and a gingerbread cookie. We learned how to clean our places when we finished, then had some more play time!
We took turns playing on the rug and working with Miss Kathleen and Miss Paula making our September calendars. (Check backpacks for these!) After we cleaned up everything, we came up on the floor and listened to The Gingerbread Man. We helped Miss Kathleen read the part that said, "Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me 'cause I'm the gingerbread man!"
As we waited for our families to come pick us up, we each chose a book from our class library to take home and share. When we bring these back on Wednesday, we'll get to take another book home!
