We had a lot of fun at centers today.  At our rug center we did a lot of building with our giant blocks--and a little bit of dramatic play in our kitchen.  (Note:  It's interesting to see how much the interest in building has developed in the second half of the year.  The blocks/manipulatives at our rug center now get as much attention as the dramatic play part--and sometimes they get combined!  Today we had houses built for our kitchen:  That's why some of the creations are so tall!)

We did some Valentine work at Mrs. Hennessy's center.  We enjoyed the different shapes and sorting in our sensory tub, and we started placing our cards into our friends' Valentine bags.  We practiced reading names, matching letters, and admiring cards!  We'll finish this at centers on Friday.

We started out reading a Clifford magazine at Miss Kathleen's center, then we traced and colored some  hearts.  Miss Kathleen saved these to share at parent conferences coming up in March.  When we finished all of our work, we sorted Valentine shapes on the lightbox until our friends were ready.

After a short trip to the playground, we came in and washed up for our healthy snack.  Every one of us enjoyed the delicious vanilla yogurt.  We used spoons to scoop it out of cups--just like soft-serve ice cream!
