Wednesday, December 11

Today was a wacky Wednesday in our class!  Miss Kathleen was hardly even in the room because she had to pretend she was Miss Lesley in the office.  (Poor Miss Lesley was home sick!)  Luckily Miss Lisa came to school and helped Miss Paula with all of our work.  (Miss Kathleen did sneak in to take some pictures though!)

Before we started our centers, our friends from the other 3s classes came into our room and we practiced singing Feliz Navidad all together.  We did a great job--and we loved wearing our hats and shaking our maracas!  If you'd like to practice with us at home, the version we use is:

Feliz Navidad! Feliz Navidad! Feliz Navidad!
Prospero ano y felicidad!
Feliz Navidad! Feliz Navidad! Feliz Navidad!
Prospero ano y felicidad!

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas--
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas--
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas--
From the bottom of my heart!

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas--
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas--
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas--
From the bottom of my heart!

Merry Christmas!  (Cha-cha-cha!)

If you see a little bit of brown paint on our toes or black paint under our fingernails, it's because we painted them at one of our centers!  We can't tell you exactly what we did because it's one of our Christmas surprises, but it was pretty cool.  We even had buckets of water in the classroom to wash off our feet!

While some of us worked on the Christmas surprise, the rest of us went to centers.  Some of us played at the Littlest Pet Shop center on the rug; some of us decorated Christmas trees and wrapped presents; some of us played with the Nativity scene; and some of us played with Bristle Blocks.  All of us had fun!
