Wednesday, November 9

As soon as we cleaned up our Morning Work, we lined up and headed over to the Sanctuary to practice for our Thanksgiving program.  We did a great job singing our songs.  We can't wait to show you everything we've learned next Friday.

After a little break on the playground, we came back to the classroom and started centers.  At one center we did a little more exploring with magnets and building with bristle blocks.  At our rug center we had another day of playing with the Jake and the Neverland Pirate LEGOS and a set of building brix.  Meanwhile, Miss Kathleen and Miss Paula helped us stamp cool designs on our Thanksgiving costumes. After we stamped them, we hung them up to dry!

Monday, November 7

Each day after we clean up our Morning Work, we all come over to the rug for Circle Time.  Our leader for the day holds up the flag and we say the Pledge of Allegiance and sing Salute the Flag.

After our bathroom break, we go outside on the playground.  We always have fun there! 

When we come back inside we start our centers.  Today at Miss Kathleen's center we explored magnets.  We talked about how they attract some things and repel others.  At snack time one of us even noticed how some of our gummy snacks "attactracted" just like our magnets did.  :)   At our rug center we had another day of playing with Jake and the Neverland Pirate LEGOS.  They are a lot of fun!  At Miss Paula's center we worked our finger muscles by making bead necklaces for our Thanksgiving program and then peeling stickers to make sticker pictures.

At the end of the day today we had Spanish with Senora Emily.  We sang a lot of songs, including our favorite about the little fish!  We also played some instruments while singing.

Wednesday, November 2

We had some new manipulatives out at Morning Work today.  They were a lot of fun.  After we cleaned up, we went for our bathroom break.  We loved looking at the new bulletin board!

We had a great time out on the playground.  It was even more fun because our friends from Mrs. Knudsen's class were out there.  

We came inside and started our centers.  We had a writing center with Miss Kathleen.  We practiced holding our markers correctly, writing and drawing, and erasing our whiteboards.  At the rug center we built with our colored wooden blocks and played with our Littlest Pet Shop.  At Miss Paula's center, we worked on our fine motor skills with weaving and geoboards.

Thank you to everyone who helped us out today!  We had a great time trick-or-treating at Summer Breeze, singing our songs for our families, and enjoying our party!
