Monday, April 11

We started our day with Spanish with Senora Hillary.  Ask us to sing our name song!  We practiced saying, "Me llamo XXXX."

After some time out on the playground, we came in and started centers.  At Miss Kathleen's center we finished making our butterflies and played butterfly and dinosaurs dominoes.  At Miss Paula's center we played board games,  We had the choice of Chutes and Ladders or the Maisy Game.  At our rug center we continued our dramatic play with the Little People stations.  We had so many things to choose from.

Monday, April 4

We started our day getting our class photo taken outside. We looked good and we all smiled and said, "Cheese!"  Then we came inside and had Spanish with Senora.  We practiced our songs about animales and colores.

After our outside break, we came back and got ready for centers.  At Miss Paula's center we worked on a Mother's Day surprise and made designs on our Geoboards.  At Miss Kathleen's center we had one last day with our Magnatiles before we have to return them to Miss Jessie.  At the rug center we  had Little People stations.  We had some new characters and settings to explore! 

Friday, April 1

We started our day with Senora Hillary!  We sang "Hola Amigo" with finger puppets and practiced our fine motor skills while flipping pages in our color book--and singing the Spanish color names.

After a short break out on the playground, we came back in for centers.  At Miss Paula's center we started working on a Mother's Day surprise--and played a little more in the Spring sensory bin.  At Miss Kathleen's center we built with Magformers while she checked us on our letters and numbers.  At the rug center we had our Little People stations.  The castle was a favorite again today!

Bike Day!

We had a wonderful day today!  It was silly and mixed-up, but so much fun!  We started out by cleaning up our Morning Work then riding our bikes out to the front parking lot.  We rode around and around in circles, taking breaks in the "Rest Area" when we got tired.  At 10:00 we returned our bikes to our parking spaces and spent a few minutes on the playground.

We did another silly thing and had snack before we even started our centers today!  At Miss Kathleen's center we built with magna-tiles and worked some new shape puzzles while Miss Kathleen did some assessments with us.  At our rug center we had a variety of Little People stations for dramatic play.  The castle was a big favorite!  At Miss Paula's center we worked on our April calendar.  They look really good.  We'll bring them home on Friday so don't forget to check our backpacks!
