Then it was time for our centers. We played with our boats again at our rug center. There's a lot more conversation going on with these items at rug center than usual. They really seem to be encouraging interaction and dramatic play.
At Mrs. Hennessy's center we worked at stringing letter beads. These have smaller holes than beads we've used before so they really work our fine motor skills. Some of us also searched out specific letters to make words!
At Miss Kathleen's center we painted with watercolors. For some of us it was practice in working the brush lightly and gently to get color on the paper, while others worked on making pictures of some of their favorite things. We had turtles, flowers, bats, and rainbows created!
After we cleaned up our centers we had our delicious healthy snack. We loved the cheese sticks and pretzels! We also tasted some pumpkin seeds from our class pumpkin that Miss Kathleen toasted.
