Some of us played calendar at our morning work tables.  We sequenced some of the numbers, but really just enjoyed putting them on and taking them off the felt calendar board!

Thanks to Miss Heather, we had a new "toy" in our classroom today!  We rolled different balls down the box ramp and compared results.  Then we changed the angle of the box--the balls rolled a lot faster!

We used our cutting and gluing skills at Mrs. Hennessy's center today by making a spring collage.  We used pictures of plants, flowers, and vegetables to make some very colorful pieces of art.

We worked on some more of our Mother's Day surprise with Miss Kathleen--and then we played at the lightbox when we finished.

We had several choices at our rug center.  Some of us played with the dollhouse, others built with blocks, and some of us combined the two in playing Rescue!  Our Builder/Bender blocks were turned into superheroes who rescued the doll family from the dangerous dollhouse!

Just a couple more photos to finish up the day!

Ottawa Farms

We had a beautiful day at Ottawa Farms!

Monday, April 23

We were surprised at the cool weather today!  Some of us didn't want to take off our coats or sweaters when we came inside.  We warmed up quickly as we got busy at centers.

We played with our Little People at the rug center.  This will be our last day using the Little People playsets; we'll have something new on Friday.  At Mrs. Hennessy's center we made our May calendars.  We got a little messy with the glue, but our calendars look good.  We'll bring them home on Friday.  At Miss Kathleen's center we worked some more on our Mother's Day surprises and we also added stems to our thumbprint strawberries.  They looked good enough to eat!  We can't wait until Wednesday's field trip to Ottawa Farms!

Friday, April 20

We had music with Miss Caitlin today.  We loved being bouncing little red wagons!

Then we had centers.  We got to play with our Little People at the rug center.  We made fingerprint strawberries for our May placemats with Mrs. Hennessy--and played with Mr. Potato Heads when we finished.  We worked on a Mother's Day surprise with Miss Kathleen and then tasted some honey from a honeycomb.  (We dipped pretzels into the honey so we could taste sweet and salty.)  It was a busy morning!

Wednesday, April 18

We had a silly mixed-up day in our class today!  After our morning work, we went outside to play, then came in for snack.  We had a special snack too--graham crackers with icing!  We each had a plastic knife with some icing on it that we could spread on our graham crackers (or eat like a lollipop!)  It was delicious, but a little bit messy.

During the last part of our morning we had centers.  We made beautiful dragonflies with Mrs. Hennessy, learned a new patterning game called Copy Cat with Miss Kathleen, and played with our Little People at the rug center.  The morning went by so quickly, we couldn't believe it was already time for carpool.

Thanks to Mallory and her family for hosting our Easter party!

We were all tired by the end!
