We found lots of pollen on the playground today.  The weather was beautiful and we had a lot of fun playing with our friends.

We came inside and began our centers.  At Miss Paula's center we decorated fans for our St. Patrick's Day parade.  We played in the March sensory tub while we waited for our friends to finish. At the rug center we played with our horses and wooden blocks again.  At Miss Kathleen's center we did some more painting with watercolors.  We've enjoyed that.

 

After we cleaned up our centers, we had Spanish with Senora Emily. We sang a silly song about washing our hair!

Friday, February 24

We had an exciting time outside today!  We went to the back playground and got to swing on the swings, shoot hoops, play soccer, race on riding toys, and take a break at the picnic table.

We came in and cooled off and started our centers.  At Miss Kathleen's center we painted with watercolors.  We did a great job of being gentle with our paintbrushes.  At the rug center we had our horses--along with a barn and some wooden blocks to build more fences and corrals.  At Miss Paula's center we finished making our March placemats.  We can't wait to use them next week! 

 We cleaned up our centers and had Music with Miss Becca.  We sang lots of songs and then pretended to be butterfllies after reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  Then we sang "Happy Birthday" to one of our friends and had a great birthday treat.  We thought it was really funny to have blue tongues and teeth from the cupcake icing!

Wednesday, February 22

Donuts with Dads and more!  

We enjoyed having donuts with our dads, then doing some dancing and singing for them!

At Miss Kathleen's center we used paper towel tubes to stamp our March placemats.  At the rug center we had the last day of playing with our Barbies/Superheroes and castle blocks.  We've had a lot of fun with them! At Miss Paula's center we played the Maisy game and Candyland.

We also celebrated a friend's birthday with a special snack!

We had a lot of fun outside today!  We went for a walk to look at all of the trees that had been cut down, then we went to the playground.  We also got to watch the tree guys in action!

We came inside and started our centers.  At Miss Kathleen's center, we decorated cookies for our Valentine's Day party.  (We also ate a little of the icing while we were working!) At the rug center we had another day of playing with our Barbie/Superhero box and our giant cardboard bricks. At Miss Paula's center, we played with the Valentine's sensory bin and delivered our Valentines.  

Finally it was time for our Valentine's party.  Thank you to everyone who helped! We had so much fun!
