Merry Christmas!

We wish you a Merry Christmas!

And a Happy New Year!

Week of December

There have been lots of Christmas happenings in our classroom!

Friday, December 9

We've been working on some special Christmas projects this week.  We can't wait until next week so we can bring them home!
Making reindeer food
We've also had a lot of fun working at our office center.

We've been playing with Shopkins and building with our castle blocks on the rug.

We also celebrated a friend's birthday with some delicious cupcakes!

Monday, December 5

We didn't get to go outside today, but our friends from the other 3s classes came into our room to practice our songs for the Christmas program.  After they left we had our centers.

At Miss Kathleen's center we finished up one of our Christmas ornaments, did holiday tangrams, and decorated our class Christmas tree,  At Miss Paula's center we worked on a special Christmas ornament, then worked our fine motor skills with tweezers or played with the Nativity.  At our rug center, we had our Shopkins and the castle blocks again.  Most of us played with the Shopkins, but some of us built with castle blocks today.

For snack today, we popped popcorn.  We all sat on the rug and helped Miss Kathleen listen for the sounds that told us when the popcorn batch was finished.  After we added a little bit of butter and salt, we spread it out on the tables to enjoy.  We also had a gingerbread man cookie!

Because it was so wet, we had our rainy day carpool.  While we were waiting for our names to be called, we watched a Rock-And-Roll ABC show in the classroom on the laptop.  We had fun singing along with the ABC songs.

Friday, December 2

We really liked the new bulletin board in the hall!

At centers today, Miss Kathleen helped us work on a Christmas ornament, then we practiced our fine motor skills by putting pompoms on Christmas trees with tweezers. At Miss Paula's center we decorated (and undecorated) our class Christmas tree and played with the Nativity scene. At the rug center we had Shopkins to play with.  They are so little we had to keep them on the white tray.  We also had castle blocks to build with, but most of us wanted to play with the Shopkins!

After we cleaned up our centers, we had Music with Miss Becca, she helped us practice our Christmas songs. Next we sang Happy Birthday to one of our friends--and enjoyed a special snack!
