We really enjoyed using our new fancy scissors during Morning Work today.  We're building our hand muscles and improving our cutting skills!

At Miss Kathleen's center we made groundhogs!  We talked about Groundhog Day and then poked our groundhogs in and out of their caves to check for their shadows.  At Miss Paula's center we made our February placemats.  They are beautiful! We built with our large cardboard bricks at the rug center and continued our dramatic play with the dollhouse.

We really enjoyed our healthy snack today!  It was very quiet during snack time because we were so busy eating.

Monday, January 25

We had music with Miss Jenna to start our day today.  Then we we outside and had a great time in the sunshine.  We practiced our balancing skills and showed how fast we could run!

We were excited about our new rug centers.  We had a dollhouse with furniture and dolls and some giant cardboard building blocks.  At Miss Kathleen's center we started working on one of our gifts for Donuts with Dads. We hope our daddies like these!  Miss Paula wasn't at school today, so Miss Jen helped with her center.  We worked with our whiteboards and markers.  We drew and wrote and showed how smart we are!

Pajama Day!

What a great day!  Our friends from Mrs. Smith's class came over to visit and watch Frozen with us.  We had popcorn, hot chocolate and cookies!

Wednesday, January 20

It was cold, but we still went outside and played on the playground!  We also walked over to the field and played soccer, basketball, and used the riding toys and the swings.  We had a lot of fun, but we were ready to come in and get warm.

At our rug center today we had the last day of our office.  We'll keep some of the office equipment out, but we'll have something new for next week.  At Miss Kathleen's center we continued working on our giant snowmen.  They are really cool!  At Miss Paula's center we played name BINGO.  Each of us had a card with all of the names of our friends and we had to find the one that Miss Paula called out and showed us.  It was a little bit hard, but we didn't give up!

Friday, January 15

We had a great day today even if it was rainy and windy.  Miss Paula wasn't at school, so Miss Jen helped us out.  We hope that she had as much fun as we did.

We had music with Miss Jenna today and all of our friends from Mrs. Smith's room and Mrs. Knudsen's room came to join us.  We sang and danced and played instruments.  We were also really good listeners.

Then it was time for centers.  At Miss Kathleen's center we started working on some giant snowmen!  We glued circles and snowflakes to a big blue paper.  We'll finish these next week after they dry.  At Miss Jen's center we played in our winter sensory bin and we made snowflakes.  We peeled the back off of contact paper snowflakes and then sprinkled them with snow.  We put them in a plastic bag to bring home.  We are still enjoying our office center on the rug.  We now have shelves where we can put the office materials away all by ourselves!
