Monday, November 7

The weekend time change didn't slow us down any!  We went right to work at our tables when we came into the room.  We've started working on some harder puzzles in the morning and some of us have already mastered them!

At centers today, we used our classroom set of gears up on the rug.  This was something new for us and we did a lot of exploring!  We started working on our Grandparents' Day presents at Miss Kathleen's center.  We worked really hard at getting all of our pennies lined up nice and neat.  We did some weaving at Mrs. Hennesy's center.  It was hard to get used to going over and under with our weaving strips, but we kept working at it!

Friday, November 4

It was a little bit chilly as we came in from carpool this morning.  Some of us did our morning work with our jackets on!  We went outside early because we have to be ready for music with Miss Caitlin at 10:00.  We found some really cool leaves on the way to the playground.

At Miss Kathleen's center we worked getting sparkly thumbprints on our Grandparents' Day gifts, then we spent some more time exploring our magnet board.  At our rug center, we used our Builders/Benders and our pirate ships.  Mrs. Hennessy wasn't here today, but Miss Brittany was a big help!  In her center we made Indian corn with tissue paper squares.  Miss Kathleen didn't get a picture of us working, but you can see what they look liked hanging in the room!

Wednesday, November 2

We had a great time at centers today!  We read about turkeys with Miss Kathleen and then helped scoop seeds out of our pumpkins.  (Well, some of us helped, others didn't want anything to do with the messy, sticky pumpkin innards!)  We started working on our costumes for Grandparents' Day with Mrs. Hennessy.  We made our necklaces with beads and lacing strings--we can't wait to bring them home at Thanksgiving.  At our rug center, we played with a double set of Builders/Benders.  This set even had some wheels in it!

Happy Halloween!

Walking over to Summer Breeze

Waiting to sing!

When we came back from Summer Breeze, we each chose one treat to eat right away.  A lot of us decided we wanted a lollipop!  Then we played on the rug for a little while before washing our hands for a special Halloween treat.  Thank you to all of the moms and dads who came to our party!
